there are actually a lot of really good modern swing and jazz bands and i take swing dancing lessons at a venue where they start the lesson by saying, “leads are often males but not always and follows are often females but you can do whichever you want” and that also doubles as a church where gay weddings are held.

WOW THIS QUESTION IS GREAT

I would have to either say catsandcunts and hay-girl-hay-lesbifriends (Riley and Laura) or torturegardens and 1-800-sorrow (Patience and Arthur)

Both for the same reasons- overcoming distance, being adorable as fuck, and being freaking awesome people.

(They are so different, but really, have gone through a lot of the same.)
